| Woods of Whimsy
I love making these and usually begin with their heads and faces .. so they can "watch" me create the rest of their bodies. I've put them in all sorts of situations and I've also added other characters that inhabit the Woods of Whimsy.
They are in paintshop pro tube format, and there are jpeg desktop wallpapers, cards and other goodies to use just as I have made them... or you can use the tubes and create your own stationery etc. I've included Outlook Express stats .. and will be making some Incredimail letters using them too in the near future.

They were inspired by the bears up here in northern British Columbia where I live with my husband Brian and dog Wilbur. We are about 500 miles south of Alaska and right in the centre of bear country.
The residents of the "woods" are fun and charismatic. I have my favourites of course (like Tom the cat) ... but I enjoy them all and use them often in my creations. You can too :-)) They have their bags packed ready to go home with you today.

~~~Teddy Bears~~~
Teddy bears, sit on chairs, And fill your heart with joy; They're everywhere, with their loving stare, For every girl or boy.
They're in the shops on greeting cards, Or printed on fabrics sold by the yards.
Rubber stamps, and bedside lamps On boxes, buttons and bows, They're everywhere you seem to go Lined up on shelves in various rows.
I paint them with faces, looking back at me, Holding bunches of flowers or books. The colours are varied and textures all different, Smooth or fluffy, are just two of the looks.
They're on the telly in shows of their own, And all the kids watch them until they are grown.
There's Pooh, of course, with his little red vest. He's always smart and looking his best.
Their sweet little faces have expressions galore, You own just one , but then you want more.
Some are so big, and some are so small. And when you walk past, They peer down from the wall.
There's stories about them and poetry too. They are great when you need them, To love and console you.
Every immaculate home needs a dilapidated bear, Sitting around on a chair, somewhere. There to remind you that home is for living in, He'll love you always with his charming old grin.
A teddy is a friend who is always waiting there, Soft and warm, and smiling A cuddly, snuggly bear.
A teddy is a hug in a fur suit.
